Mountsberg’s Spooktacular

During the month of October, Mountsberg undergoes a ghastly transformation! Bring your ghouls and goblins to be greeted by a wicked witch, wander through the haunted barn, stumble upon the skeleton tea party, find the mad scientist in his lab, play in the hay bales and meet some of our snakes, vultures and owls. (The Haunted Barn is suitable for children ages five and up. There are no "jump scares" in the barn but there are some spooky themes. Parents are encouraged to explore on their own first).  There will also be snake shows, bird of prey shows, face painting, wagon rides, crafts and other activities for your little monsters. Children (and parents!) should wear their Halloween costumes to receive a free treat in the gift shop.

It’s a magical evening on the Pumpkin Trail! Hundreds of jack-o-lanterns light your way along our garden and woodland trail. Enjoy live entertainment, face painting and pumpkin-themed activities. Only a ¼ km loop of the Pumpkin Trail is fully wheelchair accessible and stroller-friendly. The remainder includes some stairs and rough terrain.

The leaves are and that means it's time to start looking forward to one of the most fun & spooky times of year – Halloween! The Downtown Hamilton BIA invites you to join them at the Halloween Spooktacular in Gore Park. Friday, October 25th from 5pm to 8pm you will find the park full of fun & FREE things to do and see!

Find your way through the hay maze, try your hand at the Halloween prize wheel, personalize your own sugar cookie, and enjoy exploring the Fun House.

Glitterbug Face Painting will be onsite working their magic as well as Urban Zoo’s reptile tent where you’ll find some creepy crawlers. Stop by the free photobooth to capture an instant memory of your adventure. You’ll find costumed stilt walkers that will amaze and enchant you while you explore. All of this happens with a DJ dance party going on all evening to keep the party going. New this year – cotton candy & a Halloween craft station!

All of this Halloween fun can be found for FREE at the third annual Halloween Spooktacular in Gore Park Friday, October 25th from 5pm to 8pm. Stilt Walkers will be on site from 6pm-7:30pm. Make sure to mark your calendars for an evening of Halloween fun!

With the donation of $2 or a canned food item, kids are given a mini pumpkin to decorate with paints, stickers, googly eyes, & other decorations etc. Kids can take the pumpkin home with them & display for Halloween.

Franken-tastic Halloween Party

Join us on October 26th for our 1st annual Franken-tastic Halloween Party.

Each paying child will receive two slices of pizza, a drink and a classic Halloween candy bag (nut free of course). Each adult has access to unlimited coffee and tea. Families are also welcome to bring their own food. Please be advised that we are a nut free facility.

This evening will also include games, crafts, a costume fashion show for willing children, children's Halloween movie showing and play time at The Pearl Hummingbird! Please come dressed in your favourite costume! Adults included.

The facility will be closed to the public during this time, giving you all exclusive access to our play facility and party! Bring in non-perishable food items to enter our October contest; win a one-month membership! For every item you bring, you will receive a ballot in the contest. Donations will be brought to our local food bank to assist with filling their cupboards for Christmas.  Each ticket gives access to one child and two accompanying adults. Additional tickets can be purchased for siblings at a discounted rate.  Children under one are free with paying sibling.

Pumpkin Carving Fun-draising Party at Dundurn Castle

4th Annual Hamilton Pumpkin House

A neighbourhood favourite, over 200 pumpkins carved and lit for Halloween Night. This year, we are collecting money for An Instrument For Every Child (Hamilton Music Collective). Donations will be accepted online and in person. The first ten donations of $50 or greater will receive a custom carved pumpkin.
