PA Days

 

PA Days can be tough for working parents when vacation time and child care resources are limited. Conversely, for those stay at home parents days off school in the winter can be tough when weather is not ideal. To help, we’ve put together a list of fun camps in the Hamilton area that are sure to be boredom busters.

Art Gallery of Hamilton- Art Day Camp that provides fun and educational activities from 9:00am-4:00pm. Drop offs begin at 8:30 am and extended care is available until 5:30pm for an additional $10/day. Pre-registration is required $50 per day for AGH members and $55 for non AGH Members.

Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada- Day camp includes Swimming, crafts, outdoor activities, gym games, computer tech time, trips, and much more. Program runs from 9:00am- 4:00pm extended care is available from 8:00am- 5:30pm for an additional $5 per day. Pre-registration is required $15 per day.

Camp Marydale- Day camp includes many indoor and outdoor fun activities for ages 4-12. Program runs from 9:00 am-3:30pm. Drop offs being at 7:30am and pick up is at 5:00pm. Pre registration is required $30 per day.

Determination Martial Arts- Day Camp includes a day of fun and activities. Registration is required to hold a spot, you can register in person, through text, phone or email. Program runs from 9:30am-3:30pm, drop off from 8:30-9:00 am, and pick up is from 3:30-4:00 pm. Extended care is available. This program is unique and offers a donation optional as well. No minimum donation is required, food, clothing and general hygiene supplies will be accepted. Monetary donations to the self-defense seminar to help a chronically ill child will also be accepted. Les Petites Pommes - Day camp for ages 4-12. Focusing on having lots of fun through games, crafts, activities and hiking (weather permitting) and just general enjoyment of our day off school together! All in French of course Program runs from 8:45am-3:30pm. Extended care is available from 8:15am-4:00pm at no charge. Registration is required $60.00 per day.

Little Ray’s Reptile Zoo The PD Day & Holiday Camp is an entertaining and educational opportunity that gives kids aged 6-12 a unique experience. Through fun, interactive, and engaging activities, campers will learn a great deal about the zoo animals and what is required to take care of them. On camp days we will usually run a variety of activities including animal care, crafts, educational games, scavenger huts, animal presentations.

Soccer World and Batter Zone - Sports/Activity Day Camp that includes soccer, hockey, football, dodgeball, bouncy castles, obstacle courses and more. Includes nutritious snacks and a pizza and smoothie lunch. Drop off begins at 8:30 am and extended care is available from 4-6pm for an additional $10/day. Pre registration is required $50 per day.

YMCA - Day Camp includes guest speakers and/or fields trips. 30 minutes of outdoor play and nutritious snacks. Program is based on the YMCA playing to learn curriculum. Camp Kidaca – City of Hamilton – A great way to spend a PA day in a safe, supervised and fun camp environment.  Programs are available for age groups 4-5 years, 6-12 years and teens 12-15 years. Centre Ice Training Academy – PA Day Hockey for Boys and Girls - Includes 3 hours of ice time as well as indoor and outdoor activities. Camp hours are 9:00am to 4:00 pm, with extended care available from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at no additional cost.  Free pizza lunch is included for full day campers.  Full day cost is $75+HST and half day $50+HST.
