There are so many day camp programs in the city it may be impossible to list them all here - but we'll try to at least give you a variety of options!  Some may be full already but many still have spots open.  Please contact the camps directly for exact details about the program you're interested in.  

General Interest Camps

Our Day Camps provide children with opportunities to learn about the world around them, experience new talents, build lasting friendships, gain confidence and skills for life and much more! Brickworks Academy

Campers will participate in a variety of age appropriate activities, including daily swimming, active games, sports, songs, cooperative games, crafts, creative time, special events and a weekly trip. Staff-to-camper ratio is 1:10. Camp Kidaca includes a trip by school bus to a local attraction.


Camp Marydale

Extended care available, Before care is $5/day or $25/week, after care is also $5/day or $25/week

Each age group has different time lines and programming areas they used, based off of their age. However, ALL camper’s days are quite similar in what takes place. For example, every day, campers will:

  • Have two snack breaks and lunch

  • Do one hour of swimming

  • Do one of our core programs – examples are. archery, boating, crafts, sports, mud kitchen, ABCs

  • Have an hour of free time (with their group), typically they play games, repeat activities, go for a hike, have a campfire, etc.

  • Participate in a camper choice rotation, where campers select a specialty activity off a list based off of their interest


Canterbury Hills Day Camp

Today’s Family

Today’s Family programs are built around the Emergent Curriculum, which means our activities are always driven by your child’s interests and passions. So when it comes to trips to exciting new places, our job as a camp is to plan where to go. What actually happens after we get there, though, is up to your child. That means no fixed schedule, no counselors making plans based on what they think your child will like; your child is king (or queen) Camps available for ages 4-12. Camp runs from 7:00am-6:00pm, weekly rates: $220.50 for Kinder Camp, $214 for Adventure Camp, $214 for Camp Extreme. One time registration fee of $25 for first time users. Sports Discovery Camp

9:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. each day.  Drop off begins at 8:30 a.m. and pick up is between 4:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Extended care is available starting at 8:00 a.m. and late pick up until 5:00 p.m for $5 each or $10 for both. Basketball, Soccer Baseball, Badminton, Ultimate Frisbee, Volleyball, Lacrosse, Baseball | Sofball, Soccer, Cross Country | Running, Pickle ball, Biking, Ball Hockey, Dodgeball and some new ones such as… Speedminton and Spikeball!

Our high energy full day program is designed for active children. Days involve a rotation through a series of sports, bouncy castles and group field games. Every day is different but our structured curriculum means your child is always learning with our high energy coaches who ensure full participation, skill development and fun games at every turn.

Dundas Dynamo Basketball Club

Location TBD – a school in Dundas

Dynamo Basketball will once again be hosting a summer basketball camp.  This camp is open to all boys and girls regardless of ability and experience.  We develop our schedule based on the skill level of the players and each player will be challenged daily to improve their   individual skills and team game.  This is more than just a week of basketball games, we pride ourselves on our individual attention and focus.  Our program goal is to provide an environment during the week that will foster the growth of each player regardless of their abilities.

These award-winning programs feature hikes, games, crafts, activities and daily explorations of ecologically significant nature sanctuaries covering over 1000 hectares of wetlands, fields and forests. Nature Interpretive Centre or RBG Centre. Outdoor and environmental education day camps for children aged 4 to 13 years old. Come for a day or for the whole week! Registration opens January 30th. 

Little Ray’s Nature Centres Summer Camp

Little Ray's summer camp is an entertaining and educational opportunity that gives kids aged 6-12 a unique experience. Through fun, interactive, and engaging activities, campers will learn a great deal about the zoo animals and what is required to take care of them. During camp we will usually run the following activities:

1) Animal Care: campers will be assigned an animal to care for. Tasks include misting, filling water, checking for animal health, feeding, and of course, cleaning the enclosure.
2) Craft: Either the craft will be representative of an animal or even FOR an animal!
3) Activity: These activities can range from nature walks, scavenger hunts, or educational games.
4) Opportunities to handle a variety of animals including snakes, lizards, and mammals.
5) Special Animal(s): A staff-led presentation about one or more of the larger animals at the zoo.

The Creative Hub

Creative Insight Pottery and CreativWorks team up again this year to bring you the very best creative camps for your kids. Half a day pottery, and the other half visual arts! – Kids will love allowing their imaginations and creativity out. Students will be encouraged to explore the whole creative process while learning new skills and making their own creations come to life before their eyes. Kids will get to spend time on a real potter’s wheel, and take home their work.  Register early, as the class sizes are small.

De La Sol Yoga, Waterdown

We offer week-long and single day camp programs over several weeks in the summer for children 4-10 years old. The focus is on healthy minds and bodies. We empower children by teaching them about how to be healthy through eating nutritious food, physical activity and mindfulness - while having tons of FUN! Kids enjoy daily yoga classes, outdoor outings, meditation, music, games, mindfulness, creative movement and crafts with our experienced staff. They will also adventure over to the Waterdown Goodness Me once a week for a cooking class with Nutritionist Jennifer. All full week enrolments receive a camp t-shirt!

(i.e. Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Stretching, Acro and Technique/Conditioning).

Hamilton Conservatory for The Arts Summer Camps

The HCA Summer Camps are a great way for children and youth to get an enriching experience in the arts. We offer summer camps that give students experience in musical theatre, drama, visual arts, dancing, and music. Each camp week has a different theme, so students enrolling in multiple weeks of camp will always be working on new projects!

Junior Chefs in Training

Camp times: 9-3:30pm Ages: 7-14

Drop off & Pick u: The day begins at 9, but early drop off at and ends at 3:30, extended care goes till 4:30. It's $10/day and $50/week.Pricing: Weekly bookings ($350) or for summer by the day after May 1st ($80)

Cooking: The Junior Chefs will be learning hands on cooking, as we learn healthy eating habits, and kitchen and food safety.Breakfast: We will start the day learning how to make healthy breakfast and eat and explain the day.

Lunch: The kids will work together to prepare a family style meal.What to bring: Both meals will be supplied, needed would be a reusable water bottle labelled with their name.Cancellation Policy: $25 deposit required.  7 days notice is required. For 10 years Sprout Camp has been helping kids to flourish with outdoor, child-led programming in Hamilton. Our city has so many wild spaces to explore and opportunities that can help to reorient ourselves to this land. Some of the best learning happens outside of four walls, at the McQuesten Urban Farm with it’s Red Hill soil, or at the Churchill Park Clubhouse with wild deer sightings. We are prepared for adventure but we save time for : crafts, cooking, a swim, a trip to the market, library, games, free-time, arts and more.
